I’ve spent over two decades helping businesses grow, brands find their voice and leaders make better decisions. I’ve evolved a start-up into a grown-up business. I’ve spent a decade leading King James, one of South Africa’s top full service creative agencies. And I’ve worked with some incredible businesses including British Airways, Sanlam, GoTyme Bank, PepsiCo and Walmart. 


My career has spanned agencies, startups and large corporates. I hold a Bachelor of Business Science and an MBA, and bring a combination of creative instinct and commercial rigour to everything I do. I’m drawn to cutting through complexity, asking uncomfortable questions and helping others become their very best selves.

HOW I THINK

I write a fortnightly newsletter. Sometimes, I’m struck by a word. It keeps coming up. Over and over again. And provides a different way of looking at what’s going on around me. Inside of me. A different way of thinking about how I’m showing up in the world. This newsletter is dedicated to those words. It can be a helpful shorcut to getting a sense of how I think, and to find out if we'd work well together. You can read it here.

Sometimes I’m asked to come and sit with a team for a morning to tackle real problems in real time. Other times, it may just be me going off to work on the solution against your brief.

Time and time again, I found myself naturally working through challenges I faced in a particular way. So I decided to formalise it into a five-phase thinking engagement. Drawing on some design thinking methodology and incorporating my own grounding in brand frameworks and strategy, this is a 12-week process where we work through the challenge you’re facing, co-create the solutions you’ll need and, most importantly, stress-test their effectiveness.

The Big Think

1 day (3-4 contact hours)

If you’ve just got a few hours and you’re looking for a high-performing active thinking partner, The Big Think is a good way to go. One challenge. Different perspectives. Strong solutions. I love a good think-on-your-feet.
